Needed to Complete:
  • Just You. Nothing Else!

The No.1 kit has been designed to give a pathway for anyone wishing to get started in electronics. You will learn just how easy it is to read and follow uncomplicated schematics. You will be shown how some everyday systems work. By a ‘hands on’ approach it will be revealed how basic electronic components are properly used.

With the help of the kit's book you will learn the function and correct usage of components such as LEDs, resistors, capacitors, transistors, relays, integrated circuits, switches and many more.

In addition to the instruction book and a piece of plugbloc type circuit board, there are around 50 components, including resistors, capacitors, jumper leads, switches, diodes, Integrated Circuits, LED’s, a relay, a mini speaker, an electret microphone, a battery, plus other components.

Literally everything is in the kit to allow you to start building circuits the minute you buy it.

The main projects are:-

Module 1. (a) Light operated switch (LED). (b) Add a relay to switch external loads.

Module 2. (a) Elementary audio amplifier.

Module 3. (a) Time delay switch (LED). (b) Add a relay to switch external loads.

Module 4. (a) Trigger and Reset device.

Module 5. (a) Electronic coin flipper (heads and tails game).

Modules 1 & 2 use the 741 IC in comparator mode and amplifier mode respectively.

Modules 3 to 5 use the 555 IC in three modes, monostable, bistable, and astable.

Here's a taster of one of our modules being built by our complete electronic newbie, Stacey. It really is that simple and easy!
